Our partners at ApexJapan
were able to squeeze themselves into the Z launch event for Japan.
Correspondent, Anthony Winston tells us that Carlos Ghosn was in his
best form when introducing the new Fairlady Z to the public. The base Z
will retail for three million Japanese yen (USD $25,073).
He also notes a variety of aftermarket options from the start; Bilstein Sports Suspension Kit
with rear sway bar, nifty Momo steering wheel, and Fujitsubo all titanium exhaust system
(also available in stainless steel). He also notes that JDM spec Zs will
have two cameras mounted in the front bumpers viewable in cabin via LCD
monitors for easier
parallel parking exit/entry.
Nissan also showed off a race prepped Fairlady Z ready to do battle in
Japan's GT Championship series. Nissan also officially
"re-hired" Mr. Katayama as an Advisor to NML (Nissan Motor Co.
Ltd.) to recognize Mr. K's life long contributions to the company and
enthusiast community.
